THE BRIEF

Gamifying wellness through outdoor exploration


Arc’Quest is a gamified wellness app concept designed for Arc’teryx, encouraging users to engage with outdoor activities through challenges, rewards, and personalized recommendations.


At UBC’s YouCode Hackathon, I led the UI/UX design — shaping the product experience from concept to high-fidelity prototype within 24 hours.


Our focus on clarity, cohesion, and real-world scalability earned us 1st place.

THE PROBLEM

Design an omnichannel wellness experience


How might we use technology to deliver an omnichannel experience that promotes wellness and encourages outdoor activity?


The challenge required balancing:


Engagement — motivating users to stay active
Consistency — aligning mobile, in-store, and digital touchpoints
Wellness — supporting physical, mental, and social health

Arc’Quest won 1st place at YouCode x Arc’teryx Hackathon 2024


We received thoughtful feedback from industry designers, especially around how well we blended wellness with technology and kept the experience clear and intuitive.
